Junghae Lee was born in 1964 in Tokyo and is Korean citizen. She studied composition with ByungDong Paik at Seoul Nat. University and afterwards took part in masterclasses with I.Yun and T.Takemitsu. In 1991 she moved to Basel and studied electronic music and harpsichord at the Musik-Akademie Basel. After her experience in electronic music, in searching of strong expressivity, she extends her activity for electronic music as well as for acoustic music.
In 2001 her composition „Circulation“ for Tape was mentioned by the <Priz Bruynel Competition> in Amsterdam.
Her compositions have been performed in many contemporary music concerts and festivals such as <ISCM>, <ICMC>, Festival in Bourge, <Tage für Neue Musik Zürich>,<Gaudeamus Music Week> etc..
